Senate Bill H.R. 2775 (Debt Limit/CR), Has Passed 81-18 to End U.S. Government Shutdown

The U.S. Senate has made great progress at the last moment. Hopefully the U.S. House will pass the bill as well, and this government shutdown can come to an end. Also, I hope that the next time it comes up in 2014, they will fund the government for a full year instead of just a few months at a time. It’s good to know that those businesses affected by the government shutdown can now begin to recover. The revenue they lost can never be regained.

UPDATE: Both the Senate and the House passed H.R. 2775, and President Obama has signed it, ending the shutdown for now. Hopefully next time around they will fund the government for a full year, instead of just a few months. Do what you can through writing, calling, and meeting with your congress members to keep pressure on them to do so.
